I am awake in a world that is sleeping. I am aware of the horrors that have been carefully sheltered from my sight, and will never see food the same. I hear cows crying for their babies when I see cartons of milk. I see a pig being boiled alive in the de-hairing tank when I smell\u2026bacon. I see sea turtles entangled and drowning in nets when I smell seafood. I see a cow hung by its back leg as fighting for its life as it is dismembered when I smell a barbecue. I see miserable, diseased birds when I see a carton of eggs. I can\u2019t turn it off. And I am compelled to speak to anyone who will listen.<\/p>\n
